FSS Onboarding Lesson 10: Delaware Family Support Hub App

The Delaware Family Support Hub mobile app -- what it is, how FSS workers use it, and key features.

What Is the Delaware Family Support Hub?

The Delaware Family Support Hub (accessible at defamilysupporthub.org) is a purpose-built platform that centralizes the resources, training, communication, and program tools that FSS workers need. The Hub is designed to work on both desktop browsers and mobile devices, so you can access it from your computer at the office, your phone during the day, or a tablet during a home visit.

How to Register and Set Up Your Account

  1. Open the invitation email from your LIA administrator or DPH and click the account setup link.
  2. Create a secure password and confirm your profile information (name, LIA, role, zone).
  3. Log in to defamilysupporthub.org to confirm your access.
  4. Download the mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) if you plan to use it on a mobile device.

Do not share your login credentials with others -- your account is tied to your individual training record and activity data.

Key Features

Resource Library

A searchable collection of toolkits, handouts, guides, and materials organized by topic. Available in both English and Spanish for most resources.

Events Calendar

Lists upcoming trainings, community events, group meetings, and program-related activities. Check the calendar regularly to stay current on training opportunities.

Training and LMS Access

The Hub is where the LMS lives. From the Training section, you can access the Course Library, enroll in courses, and view your completion history and certificates.

Monthly Announcements

DPH uses the Hub to send monthly announcements to FSS workers. Make a habit of reading announcements when they come in -- they are the primary channel for program-wide communication from DPH.

Leaderboard and Points

The Hub includes a points and leaderboard feature that recognizes FSS workers for completing activities such as finishing training courses and engaging with program content.

Using the Hub to Prepare for Home Visits

  • Search the Resource Library by the family's current needs or the topic you plan to cover
  • Bookmark resources you want to return to or use regularly
  • Review upcoming events that might be relevant to share with the family
  • Check announcements for any new program information

Learning Check

After completing this lesson, you should be able to:

  • Describe the purpose of the Delaware Family Support Hub and identify at least four of its key features
  • Explain how to register for and set up your Hub account
  • Identify at least two ways to use the Hub to prepare for a home visit
