The Family Support Hub App: What It Is & Who Uses It
What the Delaware Family Support Hub app does, who it serves, and how it connects to HubSpot.
The Delaware Family Support Hub is a web and mobile application available at defamilysupporthub.org. It was built by Tapp Network for the Delaware Home Visiting Program and is the primary digital tool used by Family Support Specialists (FSS) in their day-to-day work. DPH staff do not use the app directly; they manage the backend data and content in HubSpot that powers the app's resources and features.
Who Uses the App
The Family Support Hub is designed for FSS workers, the front-line home visitors who work directly with enrolled families in each MIECHV zone. Each FSS registers for an account when they join the program. Supervisors and DPH staff access zone data and reporting through the separate Supervisor Portal, also at defamilysupporthub.org.
What FSS Workers Use It For
- Finding community resources: FSS workers can search for community organizations, social services, and support programs to share with families
- Accessing training guides and toolkits: Program guides, model-specific toolkits, and reference materials are available in the app
- Viewing their visit schedule: FSS workers can reference their upcoming home visit schedule through the app
- Accessing the events calendar: Program events, trainings, and community events are listed in the app's calendar view
- Completing required trainings: The app connects to the LMS, allowing FSS workers to access and complete required courses
How the App Connects to HubSpot
- Registration creates contact records: When an FSS registers on the app, a contact record is automatically created or updated in HubSpot, triggering the onboarding workflow
- Activity data flows back for reporting: FSS login activity and app usage data is passed back to HubSpot, where it informs supervisor dashboards and DPH reporting
DPH's Role
