Editing Contact Information
Quick edits in the list view, preview panel edits, and full contact record editing.
Three Ways to Edit a Contact
1. Inline Edit in List View
For quick, single-field updates, you can edit directly from the contacts list without opening the record. Hover over a field value in a contact's row and click to edit it. Not all properties support inline editing -- if a field does not respond to a click, open the full record instead.
2. Preview Panel Edit
When you click on a contact's name in the list view, a preview panel opens on the right side of the screen. Click any property value in the panel to edit it and press Enter or click away to save. This is useful when you need to update a few fields across multiple contacts while staying in the list view.
3. Full Contact Record
For complete editing, open the full contact record. The full record shows all properties organized in sections on the left panel, plus the full activity timeline on the right. Click any property to edit it inline within the record.
Keeping Data Clean
If a staff member leaves their LIA position, do not delete their contact record. Deleting removes their history from training records and event logs. Instead, update their record to reflect inactive status by marking the appropriate status property as inactive. This preserves the historical data while removing them from active staff segments and communications.
