Contract & Compliance Quick Reference
One-page checklist for the most common contract management tasks in HubSpot.
Common Tasks
Find a Contract Record
Go to CRM > Deals. Use the search bar to look up the LIA name, or apply a filter for Pipeline = Contract Lifecycle Management. Click the deal name to open the record.
Update a Contract Stage
Open the deal record. Edit the Stage field in the left properties panel, or switch to board view and drag the deal card to the new stage. Always log a note after changing a stage.
Add a Compliance Note
Open the deal record. Scroll to the Activity section and click the Note tab. Write a clear, dated note describing the compliance action taken or the status update.
Attach a Document
Open the deal record. Scroll to the Files section. Click the upload button and select the file from your computer. Name files clearly before uploading (e.g., "LIA-Name_Contract_Executed_2025.pdf").
Create a Deadline Reminder
Open the deal record. In the Activity section, click the Task tab. Set a title, due date, and assignee. HubSpot will send a reminder email when the task is due.
View Contracts by LIA
Go to CRM > Deals. In list view, add a filter for the associated company and type the LIA name. Or open the LIA's Company record and view associated deals from there.
Key Reminders
- Always log a note when you change a deal stage.
- Keep Contract End Date fields current so deadline views stay accurate.
- Use saved views to avoid re-filtering every session.
