Quick Reference: Common Contact Tasks

Find a Contact

Use the global search bar at the top of HubSpot and type the person's name or email. For browsing or group lookups, go to Contacts > Contacts and apply filters or use a saved view.

Add a Contact

Go to Contacts > Contacts, click Create contact, and fill in name, email, role, zone, supervisor, and associated LIA company. Search first to avoid duplicates.

Edit a Contact

For a quick single-field update, hover over the field in the list view and click to edit inline. For multiple fields, click the contact to open the preview panel, or open the full record for complete editing.

Filter by LIA or Zone

In Contacts > Contacts, click Add filter and select the Associated Company property (for LIA) or the LIA Zone property (for zone). Save as a view if you use this filter regularly.

View by Supervisor

In Contacts > Contacts, click Add filter, select the Supervisor property, and enter the supervisor's name.

Mark a Contact Inactive

Do not delete contacts when staff leave. Open the contact's full record and update the status or active/inactive property to reflect that they are no longer active. This preserves their history in the system.

View All Staff at a Specific LIA

Go to Contacts > Companies, search for the LIA agency name, open the company record, and view the associated contacts listed in the right panel.
