Adding Resources to a Past Event
Step-by-step: copy the event ID, add rows to the resources table, and enable resources on the event.
Overview
After an event takes place, session materials such as slides, handouts, and recordings can be added to the event's detail page on defamilysupporthub.org. Resources are stored in a separate HubDB table and linked to the event by a shared ID.
Steps
- Find the event and copy its Row ID. Go to HubSpot > Content > HubDB > Events table. Locate the event row. The Row ID is the number displayed in the leftmost column of the table. Copy this number.
- Open the Resources table. In HubDB, find and click the table named Resources.
- Add a new row for each resource. Click Add row. Fill in the following fields:
- Event ID: Paste the Row ID you copied from the Events table.
- Resource Title: The name of the document or file.
- File URL or Link: The direct URL to the file. Upload files to HubSpot's file manager or your organization's shared drive first, then paste the link here.
- Resource Type: Select the appropriate type (e.g., Slides, Handout, Recording, Link).
- Return to the Events table and find the event row.
- Set Show Resources to true. Click the Show Resources cell for that event row and toggle it to true.
- Publish both tables. Click Publish in the Events table. Then go to the Resources table and click Publish. Both tables must be published for resources to appear on the site.
